A Chicago truck driver goes on trial for a deadly pile-up on I-90.

Four years ago, on October 1, 2003, the trucker hit a bus on its way back to Chicago from Rockford. That caused a chain reaction crash. Eight women in the bus died and 12 more were hurt.

The driver of the truck, Vincente Zepeda is charged with reckless homicide. The McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office tells us his bench trial started Monday afternoon. It should wrap up this week.
