Sales of Chinese Trucks Grew Sharply

In 2007, a total of 128,876 heavy trucks (carrying capacity more than 12 tons) were sold in Russia, a 42% growth on 2006. More than a half of the trucks sold had Russian and CIS origin. Import of new trucks accounted for 16% of total sales, used trucks - 22%. The customs statistics last year for the first time contained data on Chinese Trucks, which at once grabbed 10% of the Russian market.
